Privacy Policy
- Themely does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no sign-up, and no login.
- There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs in the app.
- The widgets you design, your favorites, and your settings are stored only on your device.
- A photo you choose for a Photo widget never leaves your device and is never uploaded anywhere.
- All wallpapers are drawn on your device, so the app works fully offline.
- Deleting the app removes everything Themely stored.
1. Who we are
Themely ("the app") is an iOS app published by EXO Studio ("we", "us"), based in Hanoi, Vietnam. The app lets you design Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets, browse wallpapers that are generated on your device, and apply theme packs that pair the two.
This policy explains what happens to information when you use Themely. It applies to the Themely iOS app (bundle identifier com.exo.themewidget) and its widget extension.
2. Information we collect
We collect nothing. Themely does not gather, transmit, sell, rent, or share any personal information. Specifically, the app does not collect:

3. What is stored on your device
Themely saves your work locally so it is there when you come back. This information never leaves your device and is never visible to us:
- Widget designs you create — the widget type, size, colors, and text styles you chose.
- Favorites — the wallpapers and theme packs you marked.
- Settings — such as your display language preference and onboarding progress.
- A photo you selected for a Photo widget, stored in the app's own private container.
This data is kept in the app's private storage and in a shared app group container (group.com.exo.themewidget) that exists solely so the widget on your Home Screen or Lock Screen can display the design you saved in the app. Both are areas of your device that iOS protects and that no other app can read.
Deleting Themely deletes all of it. There is no server-side copy, because nothing was ever sent to a server.
4. Photo library access
Themely touches your photo library in two narrowly scoped ways, and only when you ask it to:
Saving a wallpaper
When you tap save on a wallpaper, iOS asks for permission to add photos to your library. Themely requests add-only access — it cannot read, browse, or delete your existing photos with this permission. It writes one image: the wallpaper you chose. You can decline, and the rest of the app keeps working; you simply will not be able to save wallpapers to Photos.
Choosing a photo for a Photo widget
When you build a Photo widget, Themely uses the standard iOS photo picker. The picker runs outside the app, so Themely never gains access to your library — it receives only the single image you picked. That image is copied into the app's private storage so the widget can display it, and it is never uploaded.
5. No ads, no analytics, no tracking
Themely contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no attribution SDK, and no third-party software development kits of any kind. The app does not participate in Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework because it does not track you — it never requests permission to track, and it does not access the advertising identifier.
The app is free. It has no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no paid tier, so there is no billing information to process.
6. Network use
Every wallpaper and theme in Themely is generated on your device, so the app's features work with no internet connection. Themely does not contact any server we operate, and we operate no backend for this app.
The app contains standard links that open in your browser when you tap them — for example, a link to this privacy policy or to Apple's standard licence agreement. Opening a link is a normal web request handled by your browser and by that site's operator, not by Themely.
7. Children's privacy
Themely is safe for all ages: it collects no data, contains no advertising, has no social features, no user-generated content sharing, and no external commerce. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect no personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country or region), and we cannot inadvertently do so.
8. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Privacy laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights to access, correct, delete, or port the personal data a company holds about you, and to opt out of its sale.
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, or delete, and nothing that could be sold — we have never sold or shared personal information, and we do not. The data described in section 3 is under your direct control on your own device: you can change it in the app at any time, or remove all of it by deleting the app.
If you would like written confirmation of any of the above for your records, email us and we will provide it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that changes how information is handled. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app. Your continued use of the app after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
