Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading or using Lampstep: Bible Verse Widget ("Lampstep", "the app"), including its widgets, you agree to these Terms of Service with EXO Studio, Hanoi, Vietnam ("we", "us"). If you do not agree, do not use the app. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Lampstep on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose.
- Do not reverse engineer, copy, resell, or redistribute the app, or interfere with its operation or its ads.
- Do not use automated means to generate ad impressions, clicks, or rewards.
4. Your content and responsibilities
You keep all rights to the prayers and notes you write. Your journal is stored only on your device; we do not receive, review, or back it up, and it is not synced to iCloud. Deleting the app or resetting your device removes the journal permanently, so keep your own copy of anything important. When you share a verse image, you choose where it goes and are responsible for that sharing.
5. Intellectual property and Scripture text
Scripture quotations are from the World English Bible (WEB), which is in the Public Domain (source: eBible.org). The app itself, its design, widget themes, artwork, name, and logo are owned by EXO Studio or its licensors. You may share verse images created in the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Lampstep offers verses and a place for personal prayer. It is not affiliated with any church or denomination and does not provide pastoral, medical, psychological, or professional advice.
6. Third-party services and ads
Lampstep uses Google Firebase, Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) with mediated ad networks, and AppMetrica, as described in the Privacy Policy. Their own terms and policies govern their services. Ads are provided by third parties; we do not endorse and are not responsible for advertised products or the websites ads link to.
7. Free use and rewarded unlocks
Lampstep is free to download and use and does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. Some widget themes can be unlocked by choosing to watch a rewarded ad. Unlocked themes are stored on your device, have no monetary value, cannot be transferred, and may be lost if you delete the app. Ad availability depends on third-party ad networks and is not guaranteed.
8. Disclaimers
The app and its widgets are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free, that reminders or widget updates will always be delivered on time (iOS controls notification and widget refresh timing), or that content will not be lost.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EXO Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Because the app is free, our total liability is limited to USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end the license if you breach these terms. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability survive termination.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above; continued use after changes means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer protection laws of your country give you additional rights.
