How do I add the Lampstep widget?

Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen until the apps jiggle, tap Edit (or +), search for Lampstep, choose a size, and tap Add Widget. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize → Lock Screen, then tap the widget area and pick Lampstep. The Widgets tab in the app shows the available styles.

The widget is blank or hasn't changed verse.

Open Lampstep once so the widget can read your latest settings, then wait a moment — iOS decides exactly when widgets refresh. If it is still blank, remove the widget and add it again, and make sure Low Power Mode is off.

How do I change topics, how often the verse changes, or the theme?

Topics and how often a new verse appears are in the Settings tab. Widget themes are in the Widgets tab. Your choices apply to both the app and the widgets.

How do I get more widget themes?

Some themes can be unlocked for free by choosing to watch a short rewarded ad in the Widgets tab. If no ad is available, please try again later.

I'm not getting the daily reminder.

Turn the reminder on in Lampstep's Settings and pick a time, then check iOS Settings → Notifications → Lampstep and make sure notifications are allowed. Focus modes can also hide notifications.

Where is my prayer journal stored? Is it backed up?

Your prayers are stored only on your iPhone. There is no account, and the journal is not uploaded to us or synced to iCloud. Deleting the app removes the journal permanently, so keep a copy of anything important.

How do I delete my data?

Swipe on a prayer in the journal to delete it. Deleting the app removes all journal entries, favorites, and settings from your device. For data held by our analytics and ad providers, see the Privacy Policy or email us.

Which Bible translation does Lampstep use?

The World English Bible (WEB), a public-domain modern English translation (source: eBible.org).

How do I manage ad personalization and tracking?

Use iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and the privacy options in the app where available. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
