TL;DR
VerbaBloom AI is an English-learning app. You do not create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or other identifying details. Your learning progress and settings stay on your device. When you chat with the AI tutor or request grammar and vocabulary help, the text you submit is sent to our backend and forwarded to an AI language-model provider to generate a reply; we do not keep a copy on our servers. The app shows no ads, uses no third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and offers no purchases.
1. Who we are
VerbaBloom AI (the "app") is published by EXO Studio, based in Hanoi, Vietnam ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the VerbaBloom AI Android application.
2. Information we collect
The app does not require registration and does not collect identifiers such as your name, email address, or phone number. The information involved is limited to the following:

The display name you may enter in your profile is a label shown inside the app on your device. We do not receive it on our servers.
3. How we process your information
When you use the AI tutor, grammar, vocabulary, or correction features, the text you provide is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our backend service at api.verbabloom.app. Our backend forwards that text to an AI language-model provider, which generates the tutoring response returned to you. This processing is transient and used only to answer your request. Your progress, history, and settings are otherwise kept locally on your device.

5. Service providers
We rely on the following categories of providers:
- AI language-model provider (OpenCode). Receives the learning text you submit through our backend in order to generate tutoring responses.
- Your device's speech and text-to-speech engines. Voice input is processed by the speech-recognition engine installed on your Android device (for example, Google's), and spoken playback uses the device's text-to-speech engine. This on-device processing is governed by the policy of the engine provider, not by us.
We do not integrate advertising SDKs, third-party analytics, or attribution/tracking SDKs in this app.
6. Sharing and sale of data
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising. The only external disclosure is the transient transmission of your submitted text to the AI provider described in section 5, strictly to fulfil your request. We may disclose information if required by law.
7. Data retention
Your learning data, history, and preferences remain on your device until you delete them in the app or uninstall the app. Text submitted for AI processing is handled transiently to produce a response and is not stored in a user database on our backend. The AI provider may retain request data for a limited period under its own policies to operate and secure its service.
8. Security
Requests between the app and our backend use encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to the backend is gated by an application key. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information in transit.

10. Children's privacy
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us so we can help.
11. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Because we do not maintain user accounts or a server-side profile of you, most of your data lives on your device and is under your direct control: you can view, edit, or delete it in the app, or remove all of it by uninstalling. Subject to applicable law, including the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have rights to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to processing. We do not sell personal information, so no opt-out of sale is required. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.
12. International transfers
Our backend and the AI provider may process your submitted text on servers located outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. We will revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice within the app where appropriate.
