Privacy Policy
In short: Siftly is free and supported by ads. Your photos and videos are scanned, compressed, and deleted only on your device and are never uploaded. To show ads, measure app usage, and fix crashes, the app uses Google AdMob (with its mediation partners and consent tool), Google Firebase, AppMetrica, and TikTok. These services receive device identifiers such as the Android advertising ID, app interaction and ad events, crash diagnostics, and approximate location derived from your IP address — never your media.
1. Publisher
Acom Consumer Finance publishes Siftly. This policy describes the Siftly Android app distributed through Google Play and the public pages at exo-pages.web.app/siftly. Siftly does not require an account and has no in-app purchases. Contact us at exostudio.feedback@gmail.com.
2. Your photos and videos
With your permission, Siftly uses Android's media library to find possible duplicates and similar photos, screenshots, blurry images, and large photos or videos, and to create compressed copies. All of this processing happens on your device. Siftly never uploads your photos, videos, thumbnails, file names, or scan results, and none of the services below receive them.
Siftly never deletes media automatically: you select items and tap delete, and supported Android versions also show a system confirmation. Compressed copies are saved to your gallery and the originals are left unchanged. The app stores only small settings on the device, such as whether you finished onboarding, your chosen language, and your answers to the first-run questions.
3. Data collected by services in the app
The third-party services in section 4 automatically collect the following data while you use the app. It is collected by those services and shared with them as providers of advertising, analytics, and crash reporting.
| Data type | Examples | Purposes |
|---|---|---|
| Device or other IDs | Android advertising ID, app set ID, app instance and installation IDs, Firebase messaging token | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention and security |
| App interactions | App opens, screens viewed, ad impressions and clicks, ad revenue events | Analytics, advertising |
| Crash logs and diagnostics | Crash reports, stack traces, device model, Android version, app performance data | Analytics (app stability), fraud prevention |
| Approximate location | Country or city-level location derived from your IP address | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or media. Data sent by the app is encrypted in transit.
4. Third-party services
Each service processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob and the User Messaging Platform — serves ads and collects consent. How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- AdMob mediation partners — Pangle, Mintegral, ironSource (Unity LevelPlay), Unity Ads, Liftoff (Vungle), InMobi, and Chartboost may be selected to serve an ad and receive the ad-request data described above.
- Google Firebase — Analytics, Crashlytics, and Remote Config. Firebase privacy information.
- AppMetrica — analytics and ad revenue measurement. AppMetrica privacy policy.
- TikTok Business SDK — app event and ad measurement. TikTok privacy policy.
Google Play distributes the app, and Google Firebase Hosting serves these pages. Android may back up the app's small settings (not your media) according to your device backup settings.
5. Purposes and legal bases
Media access and on-device processing provide the cleanup and compression features you request. Ads keep Siftly free. Analytics and crash reports help us understand usage and fix problems, and Remote Config lets us adjust features and ad settings without an app update. Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for personalized advertising (collected through the consent form where required), and on our legitimate interests or the performance of the service for analytics, crash reporting, fraud prevention, and non-personalized ads.
6. Ads, consent, and your choices
Where required by law (for example in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland), Siftly shows Google's consent form before any ad is loaded, so you can accept or reject personalized ads. You can:
- Change your choice at any time from About → Manage consent in the app (shown where the consent form applies).
- Reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device).
- Revoke photo and video access in Android Settings, clear the app's data, or uninstall Siftly to stop all collection.
7. Device permissions
Siftly requests photo and video access to analyze the media you allow; on supported Android versions you can grant access to selected items only, and older versions may require storage read or write permission for media operations. The internet and network state permissions are used only to load ads and send analytics and crash reports, and the advertising ID permission lets ad and analytics providers read your advertising ID. Siftly does not request all-files access, location, camera, microphone, or contacts permissions.
8. Sharing and sale
We never share or sell your photos or videos. The identifiers and usage data described in section 3 are shared with the services in section 4 for advertising, analytics, and crash reporting. Under some laws (such as California's), using data for targeted advertising may count as "sharing"; you can opt out through the consent and advertising ID choices in section 6.
9. Retention and deletion
Siftly keeps no remote copy of your media or scan results. Settings stay on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall it. Data collected by third-party services is kept according to their policies (for example, Firebase Analytics keeps event data for up to 14 months by default). To request deletion of data linked to your device, email exostudio.feedback@gmail.com with the subject "Siftly data deletion"; we will ask the relevant providers to delete data associated with your identifiers. Resetting your advertising ID also stops new data from being linked to the old one.
10. Security
Media processing stays inside the app on your device, protected by Android's app sandbox. Data sent by the app and its SDKs uses HTTPS/TLS. No security measure is perfect, and your device, backup account, and browser have their own security settings.
11. Children
Siftly is a general photo-management tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect children's personal information. If you believe a child's data was collected, contact us and we will help request its deletion.
12. Privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Use the in-app and device choices in section 6, or email us to make a request; we may need to verify it.
13. International transfers
Your media never leaves your device. The service providers in section 4 may process identifiers and usage data in countries where they operate, subject to their terms and applicable safeguards.
14. Changes
We may update this policy when Siftly's practices or legal requirements change. The updated page will show its new date, and material changes will also be reflected in the app's Google Play disclosures.
