Terms of Service — Nova

In short Nova is a free AI chat assistant from EXO Studio. Use it lawfully and respectfully. Replies are generated by AI and can be wrong, so don't rely on them for professional advice. There are no accounts or in-app purchases. Advertising helps keep the app free. The app is provided "as is".

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and EXO Studio, Hanoi, Vietnam ("we", "us", "our"), governing your use of the Nova iOS application ("Nova" or the "app"). By downloading or using Nova, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Your use is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula; where these Terms and that agreement conflict, these Terms govern to the extent permitted.

2. License to use the app

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Nova on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use Nova for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose;
attempt to generate content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or that facilitates harm;
reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app except as permitted by law;
disrupt, overload, or abuse the AI service or its providers; or
use the app to violate the rights of others.

Nova has zero tolerance for objectionable content. The assistant is designed to refuse such requests, and you can report an inappropriate reply from within the app.

4. Your content and responsibilities

"Your content" means the messages you enter. You are responsible for what you submit and for how you use the AI's responses. Do not submit content you are not permitted to share. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or otherwise unreliable and do not constitute professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. Verify important information independently before relying on it.

5. Intellectual property

The app, its name, and its design are owned by EXO Studio and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you. As between you and us, you retain your rights in the content you enter.

6. Third-party services

Nova generates replies using a third-party AI model provider (OpenCode Zen) and may use Google Firebase Remote Config to deliver runtime configuration, and Google AdMob and its consent platform to serve and measure advertising. Your use of these features is also subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability may change. See our Privacy Policy for how information is handled.

7. Purchases, advertising and funding

Nova is currently offered free of charge and contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions. It displays advertising, including banner, native, interstitial, and app-open formats, to help fund the service. Availability, format, and frequency may vary. Where required, advertising is subject to the consent and privacy controls described in our Privacy Policy. If paid features are introduced in the future, they will be described and priced at the point of sale and governed by the App Store's payment terms.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app or its AI outputs will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EXO Studio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the app or its AI outputs. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum permitted by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using Nova at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the app, or your access to it, if you breach these Terms or where necessary to protect the service or comply with law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence apply.
