Privacy Policy for iSudoku
Effective date: 5 August 2026 · Last updated: 5 August 2026
In short
- iSudoku does not ask you to create an account or sign in.
- The game has no servers of its own. It makes no network requests and uploads nothing about you.
- The game does not save your progress or any other data on your device. Everything exists only in memory while the game is open.
- You may choose to watch a rewarded video ad to get a hint or continue after too many mistakes. Those ads are served by the TikTok mini game platform, not by us, and we only learn whether the reward was earned.
- iSudoku requests no device permissions: no camera, photos, microphone, location, or contacts.
1. Who we are
iSudoku is developed, owned and published by EXO TECHNOLOGIES GLOBAL LIMITED. EXO Studio is a brand operated by EXO TECHNOLOGIES GLOBAL LIMITED. In this Privacy Policy, EXO TECHNOLOGIES GLOBAL LIMITED is "the Company", "we", or "us", and iSudoku is "the game" or "the app". The Company is the controller of any personal data described in this Privacy Policy.
iSudoku runs as a mini game inside the TikTok / Douyin app. This Privacy Policy covers only the iSudoku mini game itself. It does not cover the TikTok app, the TikTok mini game platform, or any advertisement shown inside the game, all of which are operated by ByteDance under their own policies.
You can reach us at exostudio.feedback@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
We do not collect personal data. iSudoku has no backend service, makes no network requests, and contains no analytics, crash reporting, or attribution software. Nothing you do in the game is transmitted to EXO TECHNOLOGIES GLOBAL LIMITED.
The game reads a small amount of technical information from the device purely to draw the board correctly. That information stays on the device and is never sent anywhere.
| Information | Why the game reads it | Leaves the device? |
|---|---|---|
| Screen width and height, pixel density, and safe-area insets | To size the Sudoku grid, buttons, and text for your screen | No |
| Touch positions on the game canvas | To know which cell or button you tapped | No |
| Current puzzle, your entries, notes, timer, and mistake count | To run the game while it is open | No — held in memory only, discarded when the game closes |
| Whether a rewarded ad was watched to the end | To grant the hint or the continue-after-loss reward | No — the game receives only a yes/no result from the platform |
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise or approximate location, advertising identifiers, IP address, browsing history, or any TikTok account information.
3. How information is processed
All processing described above happens locally on your device, inside the game, while you are playing. There is no cloud processing, no profiling, and no automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
iSudoku does not write any data to device storage. Your puzzle progress, timer, and settings exist only in the device's memory for the duration of the session and are lost when the mini game is closed.
4. Purposes and legal bases
Because we do not collect or receive personal data, we do not rely on a legal basis to process personal data under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") for our own purposes.
Where local processing on your device involves data that could be considered personal data in your jurisdiction, we rely on:
- Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) — to provide the game you asked to play; and
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — to render the interface correctly on your device.
Rewarded advertising is optional and is only shown after you tap to request a hint or to continue after losing. The ad platform's own legal basis or consent, where required, is handled by that platform.
5. Advertising
iSudoku shows rewarded video ads only. There are no banner ads and no interstitial ads. A rewarded ad is never forced on you: it appears only when you actively tap the hint button or choose to continue after reaching the mistake limit.
These ads are requested through the rewarded video advertising API of the TikTok mini game platform. EXO TECHNOLOGIES GLOBAL LIMITED does not operate the ad, does not choose which advertisement you see, and does not receive any information about you from it. The only thing the game learns is a single yes/no signal indicating whether the video was watched to the end, which is used to grant or withhold the reward.
The TikTok mini game platform may process device and advertising identifiers in order to select, deliver, and measure the ad. That processing is governed by ByteDance's own privacy documentation, including the TikTok Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand your choices, including any ad personalisation settings offered inside the TikTok app.
6. Service providers and third parties
The only third party involved in iSudoku is ByteDance, the operator of the TikTok / Douyin app and the TikTok mini game platform. The platform provides the runtime that executes the game, the rewarded video advertising described above, and the device APIs the game uses for screen metrics and haptic feedback.
iSudoku integrates no other third-party software. It contains no analytics, crash reporting, attribution, messaging, or advertising software development kits beyond the platform APIs described here, and it has no third-party runtime dependencies.
7. Sharing and sale of personal information
We do not share, sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose personal information, because we do not collect any. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), and we have never done so.
We would disclose information only if required to do so by law, court order, or a valid request from a public authority — and in practice we hold no player information that could be disclosed.
8. Data retention
We retain no player data. The technical information described in section 2 exists only in device memory while the game is running and is discarded when the mini game is closed. Nothing is written to device storage and nothing is stored on any server we control.
9. Security
Not collecting data is the strongest protection we can offer: there is no player database to breach and no transmission to intercept. The game performs all of its work on your device.
The security of the TikTok app, the mini game platform, and your device itself is the responsibility of ByteDance and your device manufacturer. We recommend keeping the TikTok app and your operating system up to date.
10. Device permissions and device features
iSudoku requests no device permissions. It does not ask for and cannot access your camera, photo library, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, files, health data, or clipboard.
The game uses two device features, both without collecting data:
- Screen information — to lay out the board for your screen size and safe area.
- Short haptic vibration — a brief buzz when you place a number or make a mistake. This is output only; it reads nothing from the device. If your device or the TikTok app has vibration disabled, the game simply does not vibrate.
11. Children's privacy
iSudoku is a general-audience puzzle game. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children, and it contains no social features, chat, user profiles, or user-generated content.
Because we collect nothing, we cannot knowingly hold personal information from a child. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in some way, contact us at exostudio.feedback@gmail.com and we will investigate and delete anything found.
Age eligibility for the TikTok app and the mini game platform, and any restrictions on advertising shown to younger users, are determined by ByteDance under its own terms and policies.
12. Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing, and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
In practice, we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct, export, or erase. If you send us a request, we will confirm this in writing within the statutory time limit.
For data processed by the TikTok mini game platform or its advertising systems, please direct your request to ByteDance through the TikTok app or its published privacy contact channels. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
13. Your rights under the CCPA/CPRA
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, disclosed, or sold; the right to delete personal information; the right to correct inaccurate personal information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
EXO TECHNOLOGIES GLOBAL LIMITED collects no personal information through iSudoku, sells none, and shares none for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is therefore nothing to opt out of with us. To exercise any right or to have this confirmed in writing, email exostudio.feedback@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
14. International data transfers
EXO TECHNOLOGIES GLOBAL LIMITED is registered in Hong Kong. Because iSudoku transmits no player data, no international transfer of your personal data to EXO TECHNOLOGIES GLOBAL LIMITED takes place.
Any transfer of data connected with the TikTok app, the mini game platform, or the advertisements shown inside the game is carried out by ByteDance under its own privacy policy and transfer safeguards.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the game changes or when law or platform requirements change. The revised version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes — for example, if the game ever began collecting data or storing progress on your device — will be described clearly in the updated policy. Continuing to play after an update means you accept the revised policy.
