1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how EXO Studio ("EXO Studio", "we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the iOS mobile application house ai (the "App"). EXO Studio is based in Hanoi, Vietnam, and is the publisher and data controller responsible for the App.

We have designed house ai to be privacy-friendly by default. The App does not require you to create an account or log in, and it is built to collect as little information as possible while still delivering the features you expect. If you have any questions about this policy or our practices, please reach out using the details in the Contact us section.

2. Information we collect

We aim to keep data collection to a minimum. The categories below describe the information that may be involved when you use house ai.

Information you provide

To use the App's core features, you may provide content such as photos, images, text, or other inputs (collectively, "inputs"). These inputs are processed solely to generate the result you request. We do not use your inputs to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell them.

Information we do not collect

house ai does not require an account, so we do not collect names, email addresses, passwords, or login credentials in order for you to use the App. We do not integrate third-party advertising networks or third-party analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites for advertising purposes.

Technical and diagnostic information

Like most software, the App and the platforms that distribute it (for example, the Apple App Store) may generate limited technical information such as basic device type, operating system version, or crash and stability diagnostics. Where this information is available to us, it is used only to keep the App working reliably and is not used to identify you individually. Much of this diagnostic data is governed by Apple's own privacy controls, which you can manage in your device settings.

3. How data is processed

Wherever technically possible, processing happens on your device. When a feature requires processing that cannot be performed locally — for example, certain compute-intensive operations — the relevant input may be transmitted securely to a processing service strictly to produce your requested result, and is not retained for any unrelated purpose.

In all cases, the principle is the same: your inputs are processed only to deliver the feature you asked for. We do not repurpose your content for advertising, profiling, training unrelated systems, or sale. Network transmissions, where they occur, are protected using industry-standard encryption in transit.

4. How we use information

The table below summarizes the data we may handle, why we handle it, and the legal basis under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.

DataPurposeLegal basis (GDPR)
User inputs (e.g. photos, images, text) To generate and return the specific result you request within the App Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)); your consent where required (Art. 6(1)(a))
Crash and diagnostic data To detect, troubleshoot, and fix bugs and improve App stability Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in maintaining a reliable App
Basic technical data (device type, OS version) To ensure compatibility and deliver the App correctly to your device Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in providing a functioning service
App settings and preferences To remember your choices and personalize your in-App experience Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))

We do not use your information for third-party advertising, for selling data, or for cross-app tracking.

5. Service providers

We may rely on a small number of trusted third-party service providers to operate the App — for example, the app store platform that distributes house ai, cloud hosting or processing infrastructure used to deliver certain features, and crash-reporting tools used to keep the App stable. These providers act on our behalf and are permitted to process information only as needed to perform their services and in accordance with appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

We do not authorize our service providers to use your information for their own independent purposes, and we do not share your inputs with them for advertising or profiling.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information only in the limited circumstances below:

7. Data retention

We keep information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Inputs you submit to generate a result are retained only for the time needed to process your request and deliver the output, and are then deleted or no longer retained in identifiable form, except where a longer period is required by law.

Settings and preferences stored on your device remain until you change them, clear them, or uninstall the App. Limited diagnostic data may be retained for a reasonable period to address stability and security issues. Uninstalling the App removes data stored locally on your device.

8. Data security

We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption of data in transit, minimizing the data we handle, and limiting access to information on a need-to-know basis.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. However, we work to protect your information and to promptly address any vulnerabilities we become aware of.

9. Device permissions

house ai requests device permissions only when a feature needs them, and only with your consent. You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device's Settings. The table below explains why each permission may be requested.

PermissionWhy it may be requested
Camera To capture a photo directly within the App when a feature you choose requires it. Images are used only to produce your requested result.
Photo Library To let you select existing photos or images to use with a feature, and to save results back to your library when you ask us to.
Network access To deliver features that require online processing and to download App content. Used only as needed to provide the requested functionality.
Notifications To inform you when a requested task is complete or to share important App updates, if you choose to enable them.

Declining a permission may limit certain features, but you remain in control of your choices at all times.

10. Children's privacy

house ai is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Parents and guardians who have questions about their child's use of the App are encouraged to reach out using the details below.

11. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information. Because house ai is designed to minimize data collection and does not require an account, in many cases we hold little or no personal information about you.

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data; the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests; the right to data portability; and the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion of your personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, so there is no need to opt out of a sale.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in the Contact us section. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law and may need to verify your request before acting on it.

12. International transfers

EXO Studio is based in Vietnam, and our service providers may operate in other countries. As a result, information may be processed in jurisdictions outside your own, which may have different data-protection laws. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected, including relying on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms where required by applicable law.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, our practices, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide a more prominent notice within the App. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of house ai after an update becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
