1. Who we are

Cleanora Phone ("the app", "we", "us", or "our") is an iOS application developed and published by EXO Studio, based in Hanoi, Vietnam. The app helps you free up storage and tidy up your iPhone by finding duplicate or similar photos and videos, large files, and duplicate contacts so you can review and remove them yourself.

This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use it. Your cleanup content is processed on your device; separately, because the app is ad-supported, it and its advertising partners process a limited set of device and advertising data as described below. If you do not agree with this policy, please discontinue use of the app.

2. Information we collect

On-device content (not collected by us)

To perform its cleanup functions, the app accesses content already on your device — your photo and video library, contacts, and stored files — but only after you grant the relevant iOS permission. This content is read locally so the app can analyze it and present items you may wish to delete. It is not transmitted to us, it is not sent to advertising partners, and it is not stored on any server.

Advertising and diagnostic data (collected by our partners)

Because the app is free and ad-supported, the app and the third-party services listed in Section 5 may collect:

We do not ask you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or phone number to use the app's features.

3. How data is processed

All cleanup processing performed by Cleanora Phone happens on your device. When you run a scan, the app inspects the relevant content locally to identify duplicates, similar items, large files, or other candidates for cleanup, and shows the results to you inside the app. No scan results, previews, or file contents are uploaded, backed up, or sent off your device.

The advertising and diagnostic data described in Section 2 is processed by our third-party partners on their own systems so they can serve and measure ads and attribute app installs. You remain in control: the app deletes nothing automatically — items are removed only when you choose to delete them.

4. How we use information

On-device content is used solely to power the app's local cleanup features:

DataPurposeLegal basis
Photo & video library (and their metadata) Detect duplicate, similar, blurry, or large photos and videos so you can review and delete them Your consent, given through the iOS Photo Library permission; processed on-device
Contact entries Detect duplicate contacts and help you merge or remove them Your consent, given through the iOS Contacts permission; processed on-device
Local storage and file information Identify large files and cached or temporary data that can be cleared to free up space Legitimate interest in providing the app's core functionality; processed on-device
Notification preference Send optional reminders about available storage or suggested cleanups Your consent, given through the iOS Notifications permission
Advertising & diagnostic data (Section 2) Display and fund the free app, serve and measure ads, attribute installs, prevent ad fraud, and keep the app stable Your consent for personalized ads (via the App Tracking Transparency prompt and any consent form); legitimate interest for non-personalized ads and diagnostics

Advertising and diagnostic data is used to display and fund the free app, to measure and attribute advertising, to prevent ad fraud, and to keep the app stable. Personalized (interest-based) advertising is used only if you allow tracking through the App Tracking Transparency prompt and any applicable consent form; otherwise you receive non-personalized ads.

We never use the contents of your photos, videos, contacts, or files for advertising, profiling, or sale.

5. Service providers

The app does not share your on-device cleanup content with anyone. To provide free, ad-supported functionality, the app integrates the following third-party services, which act as independent controllers or processors of the advertising and diagnostic data described in Section 2, under their own privacy policies:

App distribution, download, and any Apple-side transactions are handled by Apple through the App Store and are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not by us.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not share the contents of your photos, videos, contacts, or files with any third party — that content never leaves your device.

The advertising and diagnostic data in Section 2 is shared with the partners listed in Section 5 solely to serve and measure ads, attribute installs, and keep the app working. Depending on your region and your tracking choice, some of this activity may be considered "sharing" for targeted advertising under certain privacy laws; you can limit it by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt or by turning off tracking in iOS Settings.

We may also disclose information if strictly required by valid law, regulation, or legal process.

7. Data retention

We do not retain the contents of your photos, videos, contacts, or files on any server, because that content is never collected. Any temporary data the app creates while scanning exists only during use and on your device; deleting the app removes its local data.

Advertising and diagnostic data collected by the partners in Section 5 is retained by those partners in accordance with their own privacy policies and retention schedules.

8. Data security

Cleanup content stays on your device, protected by iOS's built-in security. Data transmitted to advertising partners is sent over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we and our partners take reasonable measures to protect the limited data involved.

9. Device permissions and your choices

The app requests iOS permissions only to power its cleanup features locally, and you can grant or revoke each of them at any time in iOS Settings.

PermissionWhy the app asksHow to change it
Photos Read your photo and video library locally to find duplicates, similar or blurry items, and large media you may want to delete iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos, or the app's entry in Settings
Contacts Read your contacts locally to detect duplicates and help you merge or remove them iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts, or the app's entry in Settings
Notifications Send optional reminders about available storage or suggested cleanups iOS Settings → Notifications → Cleanora Phone
Tracking (App Tracking Transparency) Allow or decline the use of your advertising identifier for personalized ads and measurement iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking

For advertising, iOS shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt on first launch, and where required we display a consent form. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Declining does not disable ads; it makes them non-personalized.

10. Children's privacy

Cleanora Phone is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that raises a concern, please contact us.

11. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Because your cleanup content stays on your device and we do not maintain accounts, we hold no personal profile to access, correct, or delete. You can remove all local data at any time by deleting the app, and you control the advertising identifier through the App Tracking Transparency and Tracking settings described above.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (for example, by turning off tracking). Where advertising and diagnostic data is processed, you may exercise these rights directly with the relevant partner listed in Section 5, or contact us and we will help direct your request.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the rights to know what personal information is collected, to access and delete it, to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information; you can opt out of tracking-based advertising by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt or turning off tracking in iOS Settings. To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 14.

12. International transfers

Our advertising and diagnostic partners operate globally and may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those transfers are governed by the partners' own safeguards and privacy policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the app after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
